Update 2012

S.O.U.L. Soup Patrol serves soup, filled bread rolls and cupcakes around the Rockingham area every Thursday and Sunday night. We also give out fruit and vegetables when available. We are serving between 100 to 140 a week.  We have about 40 volunteers who are rostered once a month.  Some do the preparation, some do just the serving and others do both.  The prep starts at 3.30pm and the run at 4.30pm and finishes at 7pm.  We have been working towards getting our own premises and these are the pictures of our kitchen, new toilet shower block and the coolroom which has been fitted with a second hand reconditioned motor.  We need a second stainless steel bench and this will complete the kitchen.  The Rockingham City Council has given us a grant to purchase a three door freezer which has been such a blessing. Below is the schedule of the places that we stop off at.   Just recently a local church group got together and made blankets.  There must have been around 30 blankets and we have two left.  Another church group gave us two cartons full of new blankets and these are also gone.  The need seems to be growing out there.
